He is proud that i’m able to continue and perform and do the tour. It’s a very supportive relationship, he was on one of my concerts. How is your musical relationship to Prince right now? Oh he couldn’t help himself – the music was too good (laughing) I couldn’t stop him (laughing louder). How did you get prince to work with you on the Superconductor tracks. That’s such a blessing and i’m able to reach more people who are listening to my music. And now that i’m touring as a solo artist, there are so many people that i meet who say: Oh hey i saw you in 2011 with Prince and I’m following your music ever since then. That introduced me to a whole other audience. I mean I was able to record and release my second album „Superconductor“ - Prince and I worked on together and i’m very grateful touring with him throughout Europe. How much has your life changed since you played with Prince. We met in 2011 at a concert, and he invited me to come to the afterparty of the concert and it was interesting, i mean, he felt like an old friend, and someone you know, and so i wasn’t really nervous, because, i had heard so much about him and of course i was very excited to meet him and then it was just like we already knew eachother. How was it meeting Prince for the first time? Well actually we know the same people and that’s crazy because you don’t think that you know the same people as Prince but i worked with this television network – the africa channel – and they were big supporters of my music and they started working with him and acutally introduced us. And thats kind of how i approach, what i do now and how i work – it feels very natural and i don’t want anything to be forced. I just create music and don’t sit down and say: this is the type of music i want to make. I don’t think that i thought about it on purpose – it went very naturally.

Was it always important for you to find your own sound? So music was always around me!Īs we heard, you don’t want to be related to a certain music style.

Oh yes, growing up my father had a record player, so we always played records and my mother played piano.
